Other than the +/- $10k, has anybody put a Konrad on an old TRS boat? I know, I know, "not that there's anything wrong" with the TRS, but I was just daydreaming about a 22C with a Raylar 525 and Konrad 540...

The "Shelby" 22C is back on Ebay...

Its a bolt on. higher prop shaft then TRS good to 800 hp. problem you still have a trans which may be a weak link and you have NO through hub exhaust so silent choice is out.

The more the merrier.

I like the 540 because you can do a short deck. I am not sure how the big tall deck would fit. I am sure that someone here knows!

This part doesn't thrill me a whole lot.

You guys have no idea what your dealing with. I have done it and did it well. The motor is only 1/3 of the battle.

Please guys, obviously a typo...I dare anybody to seriously think that 350 to 700 hours out of that motor isn't a tremendous value. Heck, for some boats that would be a lifetime of service...

BigGrizzly, you mean I have to actually know what I'm doing when I daydream about this stuff?

350 hours is good service out of this motor. 30 k for a motor that generates that kind of power for 350 hours is not bad either.

This engine is light and has a control module that YOU can play with.

Also when you call Raylar, you actually speak with Ray Brody who with his partner designed and builds the engine.. I have seen alot of his work and he does not cut corners. The custom stainless headers are also top notch. This would be a wicked engine in a 22. If anyone wants one, he offered me a killer deal on one for my 22 which I just could not afford.

Ray also knows the Merc 496HO engines. If you are looking for a way to squeeze more out of your 496HO give him a call.

Got a better idea! :smash:

Donzi 22C plus Raylar LSM550 plus Bravo 1X drive with hydraulic steering!

That's all you ever gona need!

A real fast , reliable small performance boat!

Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

Must've been a lot of Donzi.net traffic to Raylar's website.

So back to the original question, it sounds like nobody has hung a Konrad on a Donzi yet? MP, are you hinting there's an 18 in the works?

I like the idea of a couple of those in a 28ZX. That would be smokin.

Or a Classic 18!

Konrads are a great drive we have done quite a bit with them, but understand you either need to move the engine forward to allow for a tranny. OR you will run a stand off box and an ace set up. THe nice part is the hydraulic steering on them. ALso now with the x factor konrads you can now select your drive height, almost just like picking a shorty for a bravo..

If any of ya are looking for one give me a shout I can hook you up.. They will nicely compliment any big power.. :) Jamie / Lakeside

That ACE is a cool looking package. How much power is it supposed to handle?

8-900hp / 8-900tq with ease. I know there have been some to exceed that to the tune of 1200hp & run them.. I sold one to a customer who actually was abusive to it with the 1200 ish in it. The only thing that caused damage to the drive was hitting a nav aid @ speed.. ouch! :) Jamie / Lakeside

Wondering why there is no mention of the Chevy 572, monster torque dead stock. That a Konrad and once you get some seat time add a huffer, that should be an Ilmor slayer.
