View Full Version : Bow wandering at anchor

This seems like a stupid question to me but I figured I'd ask people with more experience than me. Whenever I anchor from the bow eye or cleat the boat will wander almost 90 degress from the anchor line. To the left, to the right, back and forth all day long. The stonger the wind the more it wanders. Aside from being really annoying I figure it could be dangerous in certain situations. Other boats dont do this. Does it have something to do with the hull type? It's a 22ZX.

I can settle my 22 down pretty well by using my starboard forward cleat and turning the drive hard left, the boat will lay off to the left about 45 degrees and sit pretty still.

I agree:) I haven't tried that before, can't wait to get the boat back to try it (and of course actually use the boat again).
