Here you go Randy.... Here is your smile photo .....
Jefe and I took the 22 out in prep for Possum Kingdom and Destin....
We put probably 25-30 miles on the boat.

We put in at Clear Lake Park and ran around the lake for a while then headed out into Galveston Bay where we ran towards Galveston. It was rough and wet. We stopped at the Topwater grill for lunch and ran into Jim Guidry and his wife, the lovely Janet. After some fine fish tacos we headed back to the ramp.

Still have some cavitation. I am running a 25P 4 blade. Probably going to try a smaller pitch 5 blade. I previously had issues with the Tach, GPS speedo, and oil pressure gauge. The oil pressure gauge was reading low which kinda had me worried. Saturday, I installed a permanent mechanical oil pressure gauge on the engine. It was registering 60psi of oil pressure.(whew!). I will change the sending unit this next week.

The Tach is prpbably just screwed. When the engine is off it registers 1000rpms. When the engine is runnign it jumps all around. I will probably get Livorsi to just send me another one.

The GPS speedo was not reading correctly so I relocated the antenna and now it works just fine.

The boat looks great Scot.
Congratulations!
I used to do a lot of boating in that area.....I bet I wouldn't even recognise the area anymore.

Looks great! I didn't realize you had a winshieldless 22 - cool! I note it doesn't even have the coaming around the ****pit to attach one. Look-out for Don Tam. That is what he wants.

You know I always perferred the look of the windshield. This has one grown on me. Especially when rafted up all the girls wanted to sit on my boat because they could easily get on the foredeck . The lack of the coming adds to the clean look as well as the uniqueness of the boat.

Scott The grin , Thanks, The boat is super clean looking without the windshield. That scoop looks even better on the finished boat. I can remember taking you for a ride in my Criterion, you said you wanted 22. Well my friend you now have one, and a beautiful one at that. The complete unit is a Scott design. If you like I may have a prop or 2 to test. I would not worry about the 5 blade at the speed you travel and the high prop shaft height, I don think the hull warrants it. However I have been wrong before. See you at the rally-you have been long missed.

I'm a windshield guy myself also, but you're right, this one is sweet as is! And the honey/blue color combo is something you don't see every day also. I wasn't a fan of converting the only 22 outboard but you can't argue about the results. Nice job Scot!

Nice looking boat. Looks like it is a blast. Are those Dana tabs?
Actually they are Eddie Marine Billet alluminum tabs. I was going to put shorter ones on, BUT they are really responsive (and touchy).

They also will double as swim platforms.

OK Dan,

I just knew someone was going to say something about the way I was dressed.... After I saw the photos I do believe I need to shave. I look like a homeless bum who stole a boat!

I had all my tools in the boat as a precaution. I also wore my grubby shirt just in case I had to crawl in the engine compartment.....

Windshield kind of guy Dan doesn't have a windshield on his boat( paid the price) As for clothes don't make the man just the impression. Just make your sure you look good at the rally.

Dan

Exactly my thoughts. I also want to add that the scoop turned out great! I would personally remove the grab handle from the deck, but that might turn into a bigger job than it is worth. Bill

This makes 5 classics and one ZF that are now within 15 miles of each other. That does not count the ones I don't know! We really need get together on the water. Let's do this before the weather turns!

Sweet set up Scot! Glad to see it on the water!

22 has nice lines with the windshield, BUT take it off and...........kinda like going to to a topless beach. While a full bikini is good......a topless one is better!

Great looking 22 Scot.

Now we are up to six! I also know about a red 16 with a 383 repower (I have been told) but don't know the owner. That would be seven.

What happend to tmann? Phil was his name?

First, the ride was really cool. Scotty went easy on her and it still felt fast w/o a windshield.

Most folks think I was atracted to this boat becasue of the outboard...not really, it was because it had no windshield.....DW I agree with you, she looks like a Million Bucks with that nice stealthy line.

and the scoop is perfect. Cool, funtional, and does not hurt the lines of the boat.

My protege did good:wink:
