Cool find. I was considering this boat several years ago, if I remember it's pretty rough. But would be a great project.

I'll try to find some pictures I have on my other computer.

Cutwater, are there any boats that you haven't thought about buying at some point? haha

Okay, you called me on it! (Un?)fortunately, my discretionary income is less than my discretion!

We've probably considered all the same boats, and have about the same to spend on them

There is a thread on OSO about it. One of Chris Sunkin's friends picked it up. He said it's getting a full restoration and a blackhawk drive :eek!:

What does "restoration" mean?.....seems like these days it means ruined.

Ugh. That's what I was thinking. Now I wish I'd bought it. Especially such an early boat.

Yeah....I think you and I are in the minority. It is an early boat and should be preserved.

Sorry guys, just my opinion.

Original would be my first choice, but that blackhawk's gonna make that ride real interesting.:drive:

I can tell you that the two Cigs with 540's (20's) and extension boxes and Blackhawk drives at AOTH this year were not that "interesting" . They were simply FAST and awesome. Lipshultz's and another.

it's a Volvo 280 with trim...I couldn't get myself to change it as it is much more nastalgic in my eyes with this drive. I am not sure how fast as who knows how accurate the gauges from 74 are but the last survey that was done on it with 5 people and full of fuel I am pretty sure it went 56 with my smaller prop...with the surveyours gps.

It's a good solid .

in the 17 range or It will stay in the garage till I have time to enjoy it again.

Yes it's all together ....I need a couple new batteries though.

Nasty Habit,

Have you boated on the chain of lakes. If so, I might have seen the boat. Is the boat original? Gelcoat? It looks great!

Thanks...I'd have to pull the file on it but If memory serves it was restored approx 90 or 91 and regelled from the waterline up . It does have gel cracks here and there but no structual cracks . It was shot with a FLIR camera a few years ago after a water test and no issues were found anywhere. I still have the plugs from the transom when I put the exhuast in and they are solid as new.

I have never been on the chain of lakes...but used to run up the St Johns all the time before I stated racing cats, thats when she started sitting.....

The trailer is in great shape, with new wheels and rubber and would be included in the sale as well as everything I have for it from brouchures to anchors etc...

One thing that I would do is put hyrd steering in , I have a Marine Machine ram but thats as far as I have gone with it at this time.

Sure I'll sell it ....might even give it away so to speak. I really hate just having it sit in the garage doing nothing.
