The Doral has always been one of my favorites,....

But not this one - it's only got single power, I insist on doubles.

I've got my eyes on one, just waiting for some time and money, keeping my fingers crossed that it's still available when I'm ready.

looks like a packer fan's boat who gave up on them now that we have brett ;)

actually I have been looking at a ton of boats including dorals and all types of uncommon classics this is the first single one I have seen and not a bad example of one either boat looks to be well cared for the boat is heavy enough why add weight of the second motor one not just drop a big ole beast in there Ilmor makes a nice yellow 700 or a keith eckert 900 that would be a fun boat that could hang with the 30 footers when things get snotty ;)

Matty,

I agree, this boat looks well maintained, and because of the relatively low number of Dorals around, it may end up being a great buy.

I must admit, upon discussions with some people here when looking for a Doral, my first thought was to go with a big single, but my understanding is that the balance of the boat is better with twins.

That being said, what else is cooler that firing up a pair of STRONG 350's?

One 900 ;)

nothing is more balanced than having all of your weight over your center line

grew up with a guy in the 70's that had a spitfire warmed up no take that back hot SBC's probably 400 hp a side
e drives and trim and got his ass handed to him by every one on all but the roughest days a low to mid 60's boat it was sure there are some advances now that might make a difference like exhausts if you want a bay boat cruise around in anything at 50 and have the redundancy of the twins yes i agree but i think if you want to get the boat up and aired out and really moving a bigger single would be the way to go

-----A single draws too much water for my taste. Thats the one thing I dont like about my twin here on Lake St.Clair, done by Vicious. I have a hard enough time getting thru Muskamoot now........Bill S
