I recently purchased a 1995 Donzi 255LXC with a 7.4 Liter motor. Can anyone tell me the horsepower rating of this engine. My insurance company wants to list it at 454 horsepower, but I think 300 is closer to accurate. Can anyone please advise?

Thanks

I would say 330 but I bet it's closer to 300.

Not sure if it makes any difference but it does have the Bravo 3 outdrive.

(1994) 454 with a Bravo One ,Two or Three were 300 HP. The 454 Magnum with a Bravo One was 350 HP. From 1991 and newer, horsepower was rated at the propeller shaft Vs. at the flywheel prior to that. John

I believe that motor was either 310 or 330hp.

Tell the Ding Bats that 454 is the cubic inches not the HP!

Thanks, When I read the documents I knew my agent was confused...HP vs CI, but before I called I wanted the right number. Agent was pretty sure it would drop my cost a bit...Seemed pretty expensive, but what do I know.

I apprecciate everyones comments!!
