Had to look, right! Headed to F.W. tomorrow AM to deliver the Critter for a transom transplant and complete regelcoat. It took me the better part of two weeks to get the think derigged. I got a DYMO label maker for Christmas and it really came in handy on the million wire connections on the 20 dash guages and verious instraments in the panel . Fuel tank to be installed when it returns, (I'm not EVEN going to ask "THE" guestion):shocking::popcorn: Had a friend blown off a cruiser in Lewisville two weeks ago, so as good as the tank looks it's getting a new one. That way I can have it plumbed with a 1/2 inch pickup in the tank. The repair shop said it would take about 3 weeks which put me at the begining of cotton harvest. When I am done with harvest it will be time to start reassembly:smash::smash:

I know this is a stupid question, but why are there so many gauges? Are they redundant on both sides? By the way, I am sorry that I couldn't recommend a good place for your work in my area. Bill

Only the Tach and Speedo are redundant. The port side is for the navigator, clock, compass, and dash mounted calculator.

Very exciting project for sure . Post plenty of pics please ! !
If I may , can I comment on the gauge question above ?
The Criterions had a (standard) gauge package that was reflective of a Learjet more than a small sportboat.
I recall the brochure listing things like dual pyrometers , depth sounders , atomic clocks and advance mother in law warning alarms ...and much , much more
As hard to believe as it is , despite all those holes in the dash , none (OK , maybe one..) are after purchase installations by an owner desperate for more 'flash' .....

What kind of power are you using?

I have a beer monitoring gauge with a low beer warning light, pornometer and beak alert to warn for approaching Fountains.

The pornometer was reading high in the cove on Labor Day weekend:eek!:

why a new transom ???

TRS going bye bye...??? (if it indeed is one)

I know this is a stupid question, but why are there so many gauges?

I believe there is the one for Barametric pressure, wind shear, ambient temp, blood alcohol level, and testosterone as well. ;)

Robert,
Where do you think the sender gasket came from? Just make sure you bring it to AOTH next year so we have it when you’re leaking in someone’s driveway.

Just got back. Seems this project will be at Chads for a quite a length of time. The guage package is just about what morgan described. The center two guages are port &starboard pyrometers. The next two are Bennett trim tab pressure guages port & starboard. Continuing on the port side the next five guages are eng. vacuum, oil temp, fuel pressure, speedo, tach, battery condition, hour meter, analog clock. The starboard side are volts, amps, oil pressure, tach, speedo, engine temp, fuel, drive trim. In the face of the dash are depth sonar, key switch, blower switch, gas vapor detector, radio, and breaker panel.
Power yet to be determined:wink:, original was the 330 merc TRS package with borg velvet drive trans.
I found out today Chad did a regelcoat on the 007 Glasstron Carlson.(how many were there?)
The transom is being recored and recut for the TRS. Seems there were some critters actually living in the Critter transom core and ate the upper half and $hit it as sawdust.
The lifting rings were left so they could remove the boat from the trailer. Also the rear eye mounting hole was wallowed out from high winds in New Orleans over the 18 or so years it lived there hanging in a boat house. The orientation of the lifting eye hole after the transom, and deck repair may change a tad.
I hope the screw is in the tire of the b!t<# that about bu!! F*<ked me at the intersection of I-20 & I-35. She may have to have that cell phone surgically removed from her left nostril.
