I'm looking for plastic shock cord hooks, hopefully like the one pictured below, but in a 3/8" size.
It seems like I've searched everywhere, but can only come up with the smaller ones or a less desirable design.
Any help is appreciated!

Corrosion-proof molded black shock cord fasteners.
Simply insert shock cord and slide collar over end of hook, which causes claws in end of hook to neatly lock shock cord in place.

1/4" and 5/16" are easy; not so sure on 3/8" They've got other designs that may be suitable for your app as well.

YUP: I was thinking of West Marine as well. Maybe 3/8 shock cord is TOO STRONG to use with PLASTIC hooks. Try also LL BEAN. John

I added some loops along the side of my cover, so I now have a total of eight per side. I tow with it, and feel that this will distribute the load better. Currently my straps are web, and rigid, and they are fraying some. I tighten them down quite a bit for a snug cover fit.

I thought 3/8" shock cord would be nice and stout, but maybe if I have to go with 5/16" it will be enough...especially with eight cords per side.
