What model Donzi is that? Looks like a Classic, but freeboard is too high and beam is too wide. 70's vintage I am guessing. Looks to be over 22' too. Cool boat!

I Googled the West Marine Catalog and went to page 609. Not like any Classic I've seen but maybe someone else has.....Also may not even be a Donzi. The "name" painted on the transom kinda looks like it spells Donzi... Don't know why anyone would name their Donzi.. Donzi. John

PS: Welcome to the board. :smash:

They've used that boat for other ads in the past. Here's a shot of it from the front:

Hornet III I believe...

Allow me to get my ass kicked. NO Hornet III. Windshield is wrong: Sunpad is wrong: Railing around the aft deck is wrong: hangum: John

This is a Hornet, like the very pricey one that was FS in NH.

How could anyone claim to be a Donziphile and not recognize a Hornet ? ?

------And if that isnt bad enough, MC, how can any true "DONZIist" even remotely consider the Hornet to be ugly.
------I guess since I grew up around DONZIs in the 60s with Taylor Made windshields I consider them much better looking than the current optional windshield on the 18s.........Bill S

Yeah, no way it's a Hornet... :boggled:

Who owns the Hornet with the light green color scheme? I really like it. Not something you see very often.

Cutwater,

The green Hornet was for sale in Moltonboro, NH for $49,900.00 late last year and earlier this year . . I haven't seen it, although it's close by, supposedly a complete to original restoration.

It is a Hornet, our local store has a huge must be 8X12' shot of it on the front wall.

Hornet III I believe...

YUP: Poodle is CORRECT. Did some Googling and pictures of "Older" Hornet IIIs look like the one in Wests. I was unaware that Hornet IIIs go back a LOT farther than I had guessed. (At least 10 years) The 1986 Donzi wall poster I have shows the Hornet III with the smoked plexi unframed windshield, no sunpad and no funky stern rail and boarding ladder some pictures show. Some pictures show molded bench seats and some show pedistal mounted bucket seats. My guess is there were a lot of options over the years. I prefer the clean lines of the later versions. John

The Hornet III has a plexi windshield like the early 22 2+3.......

The boat in question sure looks like a Hornet II......the windshield and rear railing tell me this.
