Found the new ZRC at the swamp after the captains meeting on Friday and then ran across this 16' Cobalt at Helen Back's. The Donzi had NXT1's hanging off the back and I think there was a thread on here awhile back???:confused: The Cobalt had "diesel fuel" graphics on it. Would have taken a better shot of it had I known the first one turned out so poorly... The wife loved the lounge seating on the 16 so maybe there's another classic in my future...

Here are the rest of the Donzi photos I managed to get. The orange ZRC looked and sounded bad ass running WOT across the bay:eek: I saw a nice Minx w/ honey hull and blue sides in the Destin harbor and also a red and white 16 running from Ft. Walton to Destin but didn't get decent photos or either...

there was a thread somewhere about that Cobalt..... could have been 2-3 years back I saw it... me thinks the guy repowered it with a Yanmar or Volvo diesel package and gets ridiculously good fuel economy..... didn't run too bad either performance wise...

The Minx is a good buddy of mine. I saw your boat running out into the intercoastal... looked good.

He's out of Dothan, AL. We're all gonna be @ Eufaula in a week or so. I was there also in a dinghy(Cape Horn 17). Saw you on the video running @ the banquet saturday night. Them green eyes were looking sweet!

The COBALT is a regular poker run attendee. He has done the Jax poker run a few times and that is where you may remember reading about the boat. The first time I posted the pix it generated a lot of discussion. Yup, its a diesel.

As for my entries in the photo contest;

1. "I don't feel too good after the welcome party last night. Do you remember what I'm supposed to do with this?"

2. "Fine! You want to handle the throttles, and you want to run the GPS and tell me where to go. FINE! You might as well take this, too!"

It's killing me that I havn't seen the copter footage yet! :nilly: Does anyone know where to buy it? We stayed at the party long enough to find out we had some pretty crappy poker hands and then headed off in search of a nice meal. Running w/ the copter was one of the best parts of the run. It's amazing how low and close they get. They should get a 2nd copter to film the 1st copter it's so cool:yes:

The red and white 16 was mine. It was an awsome day running with all the big boats. Gary

Thanks for the preview! The flip-flop pearl paint is beautiful...so are the models! My wife would like the orange...she is a University of Tennessee graduate, she bleeds orange.

Dan (p729lws) told me that boat sounded awesome. He is at Eufaula now.

Where's Helen Back's? City, state, etc.?

Just curious where the little blue Cobalt (mentioned above) stays.

Just curious where the little blue Cobalt (mentioned above) stays.

This location of Helen Back's is on Okaloosa Island just west of Ft. Walton Beach, FL but I'm sure he was only there for lunch. I'm sure there is more info on the boat somewhere on this site..,
