Giuseppe doesn't realize what he's done...that boat's got a bimini and a swim step! No wonder he had to take it out of the country! :propeller:

I take it that it did not come from the factory with the Blue Merc?

I take it that it did not come from the factory with the Blue Merc?

Supposedly $10K of kevlar weave and a black Shelby interior.

The dash had gauges all the way over to the passenger side, which they have taken care of with the add-on panel. The seats, well...

Obviously, nobody has figured out how to tune it yet, based on the low hours.
Notice the prop, turning left.

And the beat goes on...

Holy crap, I just saw the price. You could buy 2 1/2 new 22's for that. It's a nice boat, but unless it is gold plated, it ain't worth it.

Is that the only Kevlar 525 boat?, I thought there was a blue one.

you aren't talking about the SE boats with the 500 package? There were four or so of those built with special paint, rigging, and the works.
Heavier lay-up, but no kevlar that I am aware of.

I talked to the rock star that "tuned" this boat for the left hand prop. Imagine, the owner couldn't get his family near the boat after this "mechanic" worked his miracles.

I would switch it back to RH and ditch the sportmaster for a regular lower, seeing as the X is already up 1.5 inches.

Of course, no mere mortal will get their hands on this boat now due to the price. I could have bought it for $55, passed, then it was priced at $80K, and now mucho Euros. I guess if you keep raising the prices on something that doesn't sell, somebody will eventually come along and buy it.

I didn't know about the SE boats. Sounds cool.
I found it interesting that Donzi built a hull with Kevlar in it.... love it, though I am not so sure of the benefits as it isn't as stiff a glass, it is lighter due to it's inability to absorbe resin, and certainly adds some bragging rights.
So is this the only kevlar 22?

BTW in THEORY the LH drive is faster.....doesn't handle for sh!t though, and you need to be able to drive it.
I have a friend with a restored 22, 450hp 454 and a LH TRS... it is a HANDFULL.

The LH theory has been proven many times on the race course..

T, it would have been 55k PLUS my photographer fee's.. I charge by the pixel

LH turns A LOT better to the left.... most course do run with LH turns.

RTB, I believe you are correct on the left hand course. We did the test on a 24 Python, and switched the rotation with a a few left and right haqnd props on the same after noon and came up with no real measurable difference in top speed (GPS). The only thing I can say, is we used Imco Shorty drive in this test and not a deep drive. There may be a difference with the standard drive. They did a test on that but I wasn't involved. Oh there were two on board for a constant. Dan did say left handled a bit different, I did not drive it so I cannot tell you that answer from experience. My Corsican doesn't change speed when switched but definitely handles different. I won't say bad just different. I can only relate what I know on the two boats. I also remember this boat oh well it isn't here so it doesn't matter
