I'm running an Edlbrock RPM manifold on a stock merc 350. Don't know about running a non-marine carb though.
Find an old marine carb and pull the J tubes and put them in yours, your bowl vent tubes can dump gas onto the engine the J tubes make the gas go into the carbs throat.

C&S Specialties carries the vent tubes. I do have a new set I dont think I will need. Hope to be getting my carbs from them this week or next. Dont know if I realy need Jtubes at this point.

Do you have a mechanical pump? Then other mods should be done also.

marine vs auto is more than just J-tubes. Be very careful.

That will do just fine, note most J tubes have a small hole at the top of the bend. I asked many years back if it had any significance, the instructor said it was there to break a siphon if one started which would be self feeding and fill the engine with raw fuel.

the older chevy heads have a different intake bolt pattern than the vortec heads ... The vortec have 4 bolts in a straight line on each side ..
