I really like the GT-21 I posted under Donzi's for sale. I need a project boat. Just wondering what everyone thought I could get for my boat and trailer. 377 dynoed hp 355 CID NEW engine w/ 1 year warranty, Alpha, Bennet Tabs, Captains Call with Livorsi tips and muffler inserts, stereo, 1997 loadrite single axle trailer, 270 hours on hull, new front deck stripe, runs 60-61 @ 7000ft, sea level-probably upper 60's to 70. Boat is a 9 out of 10. I know, I know, it is worth what someone will pay for it. Probably not the best economy to be selling a boat in, although you can get a hell of a deal buying one. Seen alot of "fire sales" lately.
Always wanted to do a Hornet (I, II, or III) or GT-21 resto. I have seen only 1 GT-21 for sale in the last year, but a few Hornets.

Alot of the people have 2 boats on here! As we know you have 2 or more 4x4 two snomobiles and i wouldnt think it would hurt to have two boats:)

Need to sell it so I can afford the next project, let's just say it involves a supercharger. Now I just need to convince Hedgehog and Last Real Texan to come out and put it on for me!:smash:

Buiz, I'm trying.
Had a heart to heart with Boo Boo about the Donzi. She said that she didn't want a 22 because she wants a 22-26 ft wakeboard boat, but liked the 18. Done! I promised myself after the 16 power issues that I would not own another performance boat without a SC on it up here. So, find a nice used 18 and slap a SC on it. SO, I need about 20,000.00 to 25,000.00. I would hope the 16 is worth over 14,000.00.
On the other hand, the GT-21 on Ebay is close to me (Lake Tahoe) and right now is not that expensive. Could buy it, resto, and put the rest of the money into a engine, maybe even one of the new GM SC small blocks. Decsions, decisons. I do know the 16 will be replaced next year.

You're going to be hard pressed to get $14K out of it I think... You can start there I reckon...
I tried for quite a while to sell my 16 in that price range... No one really wanted a "modified" boat so I sold the SS, pulled the engine and sold the hull and trailer... The engine is destined for the Mistress...
Ditto to what Rootsy said, it's hard to get your money out in one lump unless you find the perfect buyer. That's why it's a good idea to save some of your stock parts when making mods. You can always go backwards to some extent.

Or do a quad rotor build to 1200hp.. :D :D

Projects are good. Especially when they have SC's. I am sure that LRT has a few good ideas. I would not be surprised to see him in the two boat club soon.
It will be hard to get what your 16 is really worth. It would be a great deal for someone at $10k and work up from there. For someone that understands boats it would be a good deal at $14k. I am just not sure how many folks in JH know about them.

I to think getting your money out of it will be difficult. As for the supercharger and 18, I personally have my own though and have all three sizes. Application is the issue. Will a 18 give you what you want and need, especially if your going to get a WB boat. I think I will stay out of this discussion.
