All of the talk in the Donzis for Sell section about 28ZXs reminded of a video I made some time back:

PS - don't miss the great scene at 3:00 - 3:30 or so

Let me find one of the ole days with the blown 502. That will help!

You gotta love the room of the 27ZX and the race fairing combo is hard to beat.

Not quite but close. My wife drives my Criterion. The trick is let them go by themselves to avoid the temptation to yell at them and end up sleeping on the couch. The wife puts the boat on the trailer I drive the Expedition or Jeep. I am pretty proud of her ability to drive the boats. It is great to have a copilot in boating and life too.

I didn't realize you had actually managed to finagle a ride in that beast.

Keep in mind, the water was flat as a pancake in that video. These things like to air out.

yep - I rode in it quite some time before I took the photos for you. We had a best of 77.5 GPS on glass smooth water. Also, it was relatively new to KC at the time and he may not have mastered the best trim?

I like all the videos. As soon as I get the Port motor back in (hopefully this week), maybe we can contribute to the video archives. So Todd, does this mean you are considering the 28zx for the feature boat at AOTH '09??? Or the ZX's in particular??? You know that if you don't, I cant protect you from getting a little roughed-up:smash::smash::hangum: in the parkin lot, on the dock or wherever by I dont know, maybe a Trueser, ShowNGo, Rumshaker, Hedgey, and some guy named or abbreviated FS:biggrin:

Oh well, I'm used to it. Don't forget, I am just another member on the organizing committee for the AOTH. It is time for the ZX to be featured, in my exceedingly humble opinion. Hell, I may have one by then, so I might be a bit biased...

Red, what props were you running? I noticed that you did hit 5200 and did you bounce of the limiters? What number were you at on the indicators?Did you run any tabs at all?

The best I saw so far was 79.5 on GPS on smooth water. Still learning to handle the chine walk over 74.

Thanks for the video....

Wasn't my boat and don't know what props were used or the trim / tab settings. There was zero chine walk over 74 on the 1 ride I had in it.

I didn't notice the rev-limiters kicking in.
