Alright guys, here's a good one. I've seen this boat and fired it up. I haven't taken it out for a run, though. I don't know the sellers personally, but after talking with them a few times I told them I would post their eBay link on here. Since another person's ad is sacred, please email me or send me a PM if you have any questions or would like the seller's contact info.

Have you had a chance to check out the hull? It looks like its up on a rack with a forsale sign??

This looks like exactly what I want but I cant justify bidding on it without REALLY knowing the condition... crapola.

Hull looks great. But come on...it's a Donzi for crying out loud!

I couldn't resist.... I think you are bidding too?

Lol.. I won't bid up much higher without seeing it or having someone look at it though.

That buy-it-now price seems really good.

I tell you this, last year I paid considerby more than that for a 98' 18' It did have a aluminum tandem trailer and it had a bravo I. But 11K sounds like a good deal!!!

What;s up with the radioactive green water?

Anyway, nice looking boat. My 97 HIN is DNAC8015J697. So My boat was built in October of 1996 as a 1997 model. This boat is 7 past mine, manufactured in February of 1997 as a 1997 model.

A point of interest:
Something seems odd with the engine topper and 270hp. The topper says 350 Magnum, but is inconsistent with the description of a 350 270hp and the 350 Magnum engines of the 97 vintage. Could be original, but it would be the first I've seen that way. Still looks like a hell of a good deal though.

I was sort of diggin' the cool green water. At least it's not mud-brown!

Everything about the boat looks really nice expect the engine compartment. I'd want a closer look under the hatch.

I agree, my 98' is a MPI mag and looks the same as this engine,

I thought that the 97' engine was the one that was a one year deal, looked like the 7.4 mpi with the sideways flame arrester. IDK. Maybe a replacement engine, or maybe late year production.

Yes, THese were in 96 and 97. Mine is this way. The 350 260hp versions would looke like this but the topper wouldn not say Magnum.

David - what lake is this on? I've never seen this boat and the water doesn't look like Fort Nasty - whoops - I mean Fort Loundon's

Look real close I believe that it is a carburated engine. I see a eletric choke at the corner. Did they offer a carb engine then?

It's on Norris Lake at Stardust Marina (where I grew up with the family's Sea Ray as just a little guy). My brother was out there a few weeks ago with friends and calls me and said, "Hey man, there's a Donzi for sale out here, want the number?" I said yes...haha.

So does anyone know what motor setup this thing actually has? Original or not? I dont know enough about these boats to tell yet.

I can't tell you if it is original, but it looks like a carb engine.

What I can tell you is that mine is a 98' and has a mpi 350/300 hp bravo I engine. I did have a tandem aluminum trailer with mine. I paid considerly more for mine than his buy-it-now. It looks like a real good deal to me. I'm totally surprise that it is still availble. Just my 2cents

Donzi Vol is out of town for a couple days but asked me to say he will try and find an answer to the engine question. I do not have an answer but the 270 hp engine with a carb makes sense to me. But what do I know? I know a little about the earlier ones but? I just found out they put 305 cu in in some of the newer 18 classics. I always thought the 350 was the smallest motor that was in the newer 18 classics. You learn something new every day. I am like some of the others, cannot believe this one is still available at this price. Just a Racin!

It looks like the boat went for the "buy it now" price of 11,900. I haven't talked to the seller yet, so I don't know who got it. Anybody here?

I guess the boat market must be much softer than I thought. Last year that boat would have lasted about 6hrs with the "buy-it-now" even if they have been running it in green Kool-aid

Hey now! That's the water I grew up on you're talking about there. You think that's why I'm a little off? Haha.
