Jason,
Those are both great looking and original looking boats! Seeing the high gloss, I wondered if they are painted with Awlgrip or Imron. Bill

They both look great. I'm usually partial to red but the light blue looks great too.

The general thought is that the Red on is a '65, and Blue is a '67. Imron was the paint. They were painted in the booth @ Skater in Douglas MI. Paint cost 1/2 what gel coat was going to cost.

Thanks for all the kind words, we really love them.

Jason,
The paint work looks great with very straight decks and sides. I sort of figured at least the blue one was painted by the second picture. It is rare to see that much gloss with gelcoat. I am in the process of painting my old 1971 18' 2+3 red and white hull and deck with Imron. I hope mine will turn out as nice as yours did - actually, I won't quit until it does - lol. Bill

The ride I got at Lake Cumberland with Bill in the blue beast was awesome...

Those boats are something to be proud of.

WOW Those are two beautiful Sweet 16s. I had the oportunity to see the light blue one when it was in Cinncinati. You've done an exceptional job with both boats!

I'll echo Jason's words of thanks to all the kind words from you all.

JustSayNo2 was there also. He came in in his cruiser and stayed overnite in the marina at the Hotel.
The guys you see in the pic, Rick Forwood and his Dad were the original inspirations for us gettin' the 16's. They had a red '67 with an Eaton and a 165 HP Interceptor. That was my FIRST ride in one ever back in '73. on the same lake you see in the pics.

I told them that ride cost me 60-grand.....

There you go again Bill putting a price on love. Just think it cost your son also and he was not even born yet. Every time I talk to you I can see the glow on your face even if I can't see you. The boats are truly beautiful.

I say that as a joke..Every time I look at the boats and hit the gas, the money doesn't matter...

Thanks BBJumper..It's interesting..Lotsa folks look at the boats dockside or on the trailer..Most are not familiar with the Donzi legacy, but like them anyway.
Jay...One of these days we have to do a meet-up.Timing is always a prob. for me while I'm in the music biz..No weekends available..Always appreciate your comments....
