Hi all, new to the forum, this is my first post....
Have recently acquired an '86 21' Hornet 3 that needs some major TLC. One issue is the windshield has been shattered, and I'm tracking down a new one, but I've noticed when I removed the old bits, they were held in place by screws and sealed/fastened with copius amounts of black silicone. I believe the centre section (if not all of it) was not original, so I question the entire installation...Aren't there supposed to be rubber grommets between the plastic and the hull? Can anyone give me a more detailed description on how the new one should be fastened on...i.e. is it bolted on, and bedding material etc.
Any help or advice would be appreciated...
