That looks like a heckuva price if that thing is turn key.

If it is the boat I think it is...

I almost bought it about 2 years ago. The paint job sucked, there was overspray on the outdrive. updated engine that had not been run in a couple years. updated interior a couple years old (at the time). It was filthy, teak needed to be re-finished on the dash and deck stripe. It was kept under a tarp and just a mess.

I could have bought it for under 8 grand. I was stupid and didn't buy. At 15k fixed up it is a deal in my opinion. 20' cigs are among my favorite boats, especially the old ones without the huge fairing... If this is the same boat, it has had a bunch of updates. if it is different it looks really well kept. If I didn't already have a 20' Donzi I'd be all over this boat.

I have seen this boat in action. I was sitting near dickenson last summer when the owner ran it up on Dickenson Island (Near middle channel on Lake St. Clair). I helped him push the boat off the sand bar. I got up close and personal with it. Boat has many spider cracks and even a few stress cracks near the rear. Boat is all original but needs to be restored. I offered the guy $10,000 last year. I even called the owner two days ago and offered the same. He again said no way!!

to those who have seen it how bad is it? The owner says it is all orginal including the gel-coat that was "re-gelcoated" at the factory for the orginal owner. He also says it is the orginal drive line......... Can anyone elaborate on the boat. Is it worth pursing or not????

Yes the boat is all original like the owner says but to make the boat look perfect again it needs to be restored. Like I said in my previous post there are a fair amount of spider cracks and even a few stress cracks. I hope your good with fiberglass and gelcoat. I personally think the boat at most is worth $10,000.

thanks. I will take a pass on it. I dont need anymore projects. thanks for your comments. The way the owner represented it the engine and drive were orginal with only a couple hundred hours on the boat. Obviously not!!!

thanks.

thanks.

Based on the other comments it's not the boat that I almost bought.

20' cigs are awesome, but pricey

Boat is in very good shape for 28 years old and is getting alot of attention on the lake (it needs little resto). Worth what was paid.
