Nice boat, don't see this auction ending in a sale though.

Odd way to install trim tabs?

Not that uncommon, it is done to keep the boat from hooking a tab in a turn which can result in a very bad situation at higher speed. There have been a few posts on the subject especially with K planes.

The problem with the price is that the guy lives in Napa.

Everything up there is priced "crack smokin' high"

Nice enough boat. It's only about an hour from here if somebody needs eyes on it.

Think he's got enough trailer under that thing???

you should see mine! it even has a drive guard. if someones runs into my trailer it wont hurt the boat :)

You guys would laugh if I showed you my trailer, if you would even call it that...

Only problem I have ever had with the Scorpion is that it has to have high octane (91 or 93 , I can't remember)

I am pretty sure a guy on the board that goes by "firecracker" might be able to shed some light on this engine combo. :)

I wouldn't let this bother you too much. We run 100 miles on some days and burn 25 or so gallons, so we are talking under $10 difference per trip for one heck of a performance boost from the Scorpion.

That ITS is interesting. I wonder what the set back does for the handling?
Tabs can be moved and re-glassed. I doubt there is any benefit with a boat of this size and speed, with mounting the tabs at a straight angle.

I agree the difference is worth the cash. The Scorpions run great!!!!!

Must be the "stealth model" ITS system.
