attn: 25' Donzi Ragazza owners

I am looking at purchasing a 1988 25' Donzi Ragazza. Those of you who own one or have been in one, does that 5.7 liter engine (260hp) provide enough power for the 25' Ragazza or is it underpowered? Not looking to go all that fast, just wondering if it's enough power to get up on a plane and cruise without many problems.... basically, just wondering if it's underpowered with the 5.7 liter or not.

That powerplant should be good for about 40mph, plenty to get on plane, but in a boat that big, you're not going to be pulling skiers or anything.

I didn't have a 25, I had a 21 with the 4.3l, but just a smaller version of the same hull. I ended up swapping out the 4.3, but it was good enough power if you're not worried about speed.

Thanks Wayne -- I wouldn't be concerned about pulling skiers or anything like that. Just concerned about getting on a plane and being able to cruise around at like 25mph.. I'm no speed fanatic, but I at least want to be able to move some..
