Trim tab leak

I've got a leak from in one of my trim tabs. The leak is outside on the transom just below where the ram mounts. I looked at the Bennett website and there is supposed to be a piece of pipe with a elbow and a compression fitting on it on the inside of the transom. On my 22ZX the fluid lines just go into the transom and have sealant around them, no pipe. How can I get to the back of the ram to tighten or reseal this?

I'll try that and take a look around. I was kinda confused because I dont see a piece of pipe or an 90degree fitting or anything. We'll see what I got an report back here.
