I'm speechless. I guess you also just found another coral colored boat - who knew Don's other secretary liked to blow up targets?? :propeller: But my favorite part is

"Trade for 1968 El Camino or convertible of some kind, not a Le Baron."

Now that's classic...

I Don't think it's a Donzi. The flat around where the rubrail fastens is too large, also there appears to be a flat across the top of the transom.

I can't comment on if that's a Donzi hull or not, but I find it a little odd that Uniflite would buy another hull when they built some fine hulls of their own.

Uniflite made production hulls down to 15' in the early days, and of course made some famous hulls such as the 28, 31, and 36.

Their military history is well known, and their bigger hulls were great. I had a 36 not too long ago that was a wonderfull hull - solid, quite, dry - just not fast. By an measure other than speed/economy, it put pretty much any current 36' motoryacht to shame. (yes, including my new Carvers) Of course, a 30 year old boat doesn't quite have the same bling as a new one.

Some Uniflite history for you east coast types... (see, the west coast builds boats too!) :)
