Some of you may know, I'm a huge fan of Sonny Levi, and particularly his early race boats in the '60's.
I just found this video of early Cowes Torquay races.

This race is in some of the roughest water in the world along the southern coast of Britain from Cowes to Tor Bay.
If you want to know more about the featured boat, "Surfury", go here;
http://www.surfury.co.uk/index.htm
While there, take a look at the "Design" button and read an interview of Levi, now in his '80's and still working.

Thanks for a great thread George. Hope Surfury finds a good home. Obviously the Testarossa has. Still remember Your gorgeous Minx.
Love the old films. The impact of Mr. Levi's design on performance V-hulls in general is amazing. In my home country Sweden the Smuggler Boats were the dominating design in the 60's and 70's. They look like they were straight out of Mr. Levi's design studio. Impressive man, a true living legend.
A couple of Levi inspired, Swedish Smuggler Boats below.
