Could you even get a 2+3 seating configuration on a 16' back then? Or is it actually an 18' and the owner doesn't know it?

Looks like an 18' to me.

And an excellent candidate for the "Before" Star-Brite advertisement!

I think you're right on, it's an 18 and the guy who posted the ad thinks it's a 16.

Jim, That is me with my fingers crossed. Now the only thing is I don't know if they are crossed because I hope no one else bids or I desperately hope someone else bids. ha ha That is my favorite color combo and I am toooo sentimental. I believe it could be brought back, but will see. Tom

Well, my fingers crossed worked but not the way I had hoped. The seller was nervous about it being listed wrong and decided to pull it off ebay. They wanted to talk with their parents that own the boat and see what it really is. We here, of course know what it is, but who knows if it will be back up or not. I just got home with the original 1967 Barrel Back. I cannot wait to put it in the water to see how she does. So nice seeing one so original. Will post some pics here if Howard doesn't mind me stealing his thread. I really like this boat. Course I about love all classic Donzi's, especially the older ones. Am in contact with the seller on the 72 classic and will see how it goes. I love that color. Tom

ps. Now how do I semi easily get that gol dern bottom paint off this beauty. T

That barrelback is a beauty. I feel bad about the '72 since I clued the guy in about it being an 18. I can't imagine any reason that would sway them either way though?

Anyway, hope it works out.

I traded emails with the person selling the '72. She told me she was pulling the ad, and was going to relist after getting the title from her parents house. Hopefully it pops up again.
