Just bought some. I went with the rubber replacements from Trident. The silicone ones are $$$. If I remember correctly, the rubber with the blue stripe was about $2.11/in. The silicone was $9-10/in.?? Just couldn't justify $75 for an 8" piece of hose that nobody would see.

Lenny, I used to get all of mine from High-Temp Silicone; but their website is down.
Here are a couple of other on line suppliers.
Get the 3 ply; it is all you need and more flexible. I will never use that stiff black stuff again.

Another source for the Trident hose, not sure if they carry the clamps but suppose they must. A 3' length costs $143 US delivered:

Viking Terminal Marine, LLC
732.238.9434

Trident does not sell direct but if you want to contact them:
724.745.9311

This hose is not just for bling. It is way more flexible and allows slight engine movement and connecting exh components that are slightly misaligned without stressing them. It also can handle more heat.

Lenny, here is a Canadian vendor for your hose.

The silicone is worth the price, it stands up better and is flexible enough to absorb engine movement without stressing the exhaust system. I feel most of the cracked risers and headers are from using to stiff a hose. Lenny the bling clamps are at most decent marine supplies, Lenny you can try these guys they can get stuff out same or next day http://marineparts-wholesale.com/ Prices are decent. They should have everything in stock!

you guys are whiners....

I just paid $1512 for (2) 36" sticks of 14" Trident hose

and $720 for (2) 36" sticks of 8"

and that was at the wholesale level....

retail was over $3200 for the setup

then there is the SPECIAL clamps that Trident sells that MUST be used with their hose... :nilly: had to get 32 of those at $24 each

exactly $3000

such a deal..... :smash:

then there's the install labor on top of that........

Which stuff is the most flexible? My dana marine manifolds are offset 1.5" from the tips and I had to use a 8' 2x4 to bend the black hose enough to get everything lined up- lots of stress on those. Some flexy silicone might be the trick.

I had the same problem so I used the 3 ply silicone for its flexability and it worked.

Some flexy silicone might be the trick. I had that problem too. You need to install the silicone hose asap. It's as soft as a baby's behind. Ordering info is above, take your pick.
