They are beautiful. But I think they look out of place on that wooden Classic.

Repo or orriginal, I love the idea of vintage look with modern power. I probably wouldn't have gone with surface drives on that rig myself, but I fully approve. Very nice.

Definately a repo. NONE of the old Chris Crafts or the ilk had anywhere near that much vee in the back. They were all nearly dead flat.....

By the look of the windshield that would be a Hacker Craft repo.

I doubt very much there is much if any casting used in that assembly, I would bet it is all plate.

ANyway, heres the poop-
Boat is a 1995 Hacker Craft. Tom Gentry originally owned it and wanted to build the "100mph woodie" After his death Jim DeNooyer bought it, got it up to 70 and the winshield blew out. We detuned the motors as much as we could but they still make around 700hp. HAcker just finished putting a new bottom on it.Ostrige Skin interior. GEntry Turbo 510s

Gentrey. That explains it.

His 70' Gentrey Eagle used to sit just down from my office for years. It finally sold about 5 years ago and disappeared.

BTW, I think I know where one of those turbo motors is sitting with no love at a small marina in the delta. I remember seeing it in the corner of a shop and thinking 'is that a turbo...?'
