Today I was prepping for the "Safe Boating Challenge" Exam in Rhode Island. To get a licence to operate. I am over 22 years old so I don't need the licence IN RI. (I'm 67 and have been boating for maybe 55 years.) I do most of my boating in NH...which requires me to NOW have a Certificate from somewhere....In my case...RI.

Any who: I couldn't find in my textbook, what the minimum age was to operate a PWC. (I call it a "Pwick") SO: I called the DEM RI who regulates such stuff. The guy told me, it used to be 16, but now they have to pass the course for a licence....and..most kids around the age of 14 or so, have an 80% fail rate. SO: There is now no minimum age limit. :nilly:

When I was standing in line waiting to sign in, there was a really hot looking little babe..maybe 12-13 that had just finished her test. She didn't look very happy and was being consoled..I guess, by her father. :smash: John

PS: The results will come in the mail in 5 days.
