After Aronows Death, Didn't Cigarette Make that as the "FireFox" Or was that a 21'? That thing Looks like a firefox (but most Aronows boats look alike)

That's a 24 Squadron XII......

The early 24 Cigarette was near an 8 foot beam.....Charlie McCarthy bought that mold from Aronow and made the 24 Banana.

The later 24 Cigarette (Firefox too) were a 7' 4.5" beam.

I believe the 24 Squadron was the narrow beam but they are very rare.

Cigarette might still have that narrow beam mold?

This boat was built from the Squadron 24 molds owned by Michael Aronow. Dauley was involved in making the connections between Michael and the shop where it was built.
It seems Dauley is no longer a part of it and the owner of the shop has some serious health issues so it will probably go no further.
But like I said, Bill knows all the details.

To the best of my knowledge, the 24 Squadron was the wider (aprox 8') version. Essentially the same hull as the 24 Banana. I would really like to find the deck & hull molds. I have what I believe was the first Cigarette 24 (#24711201) but the deck is toast.

------I know Mike prized this hull. I think I can say that he has become a bit bitter about what has happened with this whole situation. The black boat in the pictures got repossesed but by the time the bank found it the engine was gone. Bank still has it. They would sell it but are still being unreasonable on the price. There is another unrigged hull and deck that is sitting very close to me with about 3 feet of water in it because it was never drilled for a drain-plug, and the shrink-wrap failed. Probably a buildable boat but water may have gotten into the wood by this time. Its so heavy it collapsed the trailer its sitting on. The problem is that there is a bunch of storage owed on it and a bunch of other unbuildable hulks. To my knowledge, there is no longer an existing mold. The people that built the black boat may have told people there was as they told me they were planning on doing a mold, but that never happened. The old coral colored 16 DONZI that has been popping up on E-bay is in the same storage area and is part of the same storage bill. Its engine (a buick V6) hasnt turned over for at least 20 years. Can you say "frozen"???........Bill S

Olredalert - thankyou for the information. How rediculous do you think they would be to spring the hull & deck that is full of water loose? Is there a contact number or anything for that place?
