Had a blast today....
Spent a day or two at Cumberland running my 16 Ski Sporter and watching Jason put some hours on his new Whaler...
Roadtrip and I hookup and I get to go for a ride in my,uh, I mean HIS, Crap..I mean JILL's 18 Scorpion..
The boat looks better than when I owned it, and is running great.
Roadtrip has mastered the high-speed handling of the boat. Being one of only 5 made in '02 and '03, they were limited-production, fairly high-speed(low-70's) 18's. With extra weight aft and lots of power, the Scorp's would do the Macarena with you at the helm when you'd hit the high-speed register. It took me awhile to get it, and now Roadtrip and Jill have nailed it too.
We ran the lake and then we got in my 16(Which is no slouch either..)
Great Donzi afternoon on Cumberland, and I enjoyed talking shop with Roadtrip...
