is there an aftermarket kit for a 1993 sweet 16 to run stainless mufflers straight out the rear as opposed to running through the prop? it is pretty tight in there.

Thank you

Yes you can run transom exhaust on a 16. With a V8 it would sound great, But if you are running a V6 you may want to stay with the thru prop, As most people do not like the sound of a V6 with thru hull.

Corsa makes one. Also check out the later post in performance talk under switchable exhaust.

I run a corsa thru the hull silent choice system... love the sound and has more of a tear sound to it than the heavy thump of a V8 big block.
But still very nice
no noise on a Donzi is just wrong!

I think that it sounds pretty good too. A good bark.

I just finished putting on new risers and water pump and thermostat housing on my sixteen.. was having overheating issues last year at the end of the season.. all so did a purge on the engine for scale... but with the new risers the sound was dramatic in thump.... i would guess that the scale in the risers was acting like insulation as in a exhaust the batten cloth absorbing sound..
Everyone has commented on the much louder sound to the boat... and everyone thought i had changed the cam as you could really hear the idle rock now..
And it is much louder in the boat.

Go figure.....

but you can lay you hands on the risers after running it hard and they are luke warm.
