Most of you have probably heard of this group. Well, they came to our town last Saturday for a very cool event. CNN did a nice story about it, linked below. I'll try to keep this as short as possible:
A really good local guy, a friend of mine, had a horrific accident as a highway engineer. A motorist ran him and several others down...resulting in the loss of both his legs. The settlement/compensation allowed him to eventually start a custom bike building business, specializing in modifications to accommodate handicapped riders.
So, he and his crew custom built a bike for an Iraq vet, who also has lost both his legs, and last Saturday the bike was donated and presented to the veteran...complete with about 300 Patriot Guard Riders in attendance! Topping it off was a cruise around our beautiful countryside on a sunny, picture-perfect spring day.
