Hi everyone, Are the cig 20 folk still hanging around these parts?
Finally got around to taking some pics of 1985 Cigarette 20 I restored. Let me know what you think.

Hi madpoodle, Good to see you! The original motor was tired but I wanted keep the alpha ss drive so I went with a merc 5.7 mpi 300hp( the original was a mercruiser 260). Next time I get out on the boat I'll snap an engine compartment photo. We freshened up the engine compartment in the original '85 cigarette red. I still haven't played around with props, hopefully this summer I can get around to it. So far I have seen 62-63mph as is on gps. Thanks for the compliment, means a lot considering the amount of time that went into it.
Best,
Jim
I updated the link in my first post and reposting the link here(it was only the link to the photo not the album as I intended.

Nice boat, love the old school as well. There will be a hand full of 20' Cigs at AOTH, should be fun.

Great restoration. I like that you kept the original hardware. Did you replace the windshield and if so who did you work? I would like to replace mine. Thanks

Thank you Gents!

RR1048, Ultima II in Miami fabricated the windshield from the original. They do nice work.

Thanks! I spoke with Leo at Ultima II (305-821-3454) and will plan on having him build me a new windshield after the season.

Jim,
The 20 looks great! Is the locker in front of the windshield functional with the lifeline? I will pass along the windshield fabricator to a friend who bought my old Cig 20. It was one of the best all around boats I have ever owned. Here is a picture of my 1975 20 right before I sold it about 14 years ago. I understand they have gone up in value. Bill

Thanks. You would have to dettach the lifeline at the windshield to fully open the front locker.

Thanks for the pics of your old twenty. Looks sweet!

sizeplay,
That cig 20 is hot sheet! Beautiful lines and a great resto. A ?---is the raised hatch to accommodate a real high x dim. or is it for looks? Because it looks great. Nice job.

Thanks Sam, Appreciate it! As far as the hatch goes I don't know the reasoning behind it. Presumably it could be due to a combination of things, including looking cool , increased airflow to the engine, allowing for a larger engine and perhaps it could come in handy if you wanted a higher x-dim. I think it would come in very handy if somebody wanted to add a supercharger to their engine.... it may give just enough clearance to do so without cutting into the hatch or having to fabricate a new hatch . Don;t hold me to that though.
