Supposed to be a nice day. Had a barbeque last night and drank my fill. Got a raging headache this morning, but the sound of the 16's 350 might be a good hangover cure. Might also make it worse! First ride of the year, hope the damn thing runs ok. Now where did I put my coffee and advil?

About time! You need to SC that puppy to make up for the thin air. I'm hoping for a nice enough day this week to hit Lake St. Clair for my first real run of the season. Happy boating.

I looked at SC's last year before redoing the top end. I just don't have room. The ProCharges won't fit due tto the front of the engine being too close to the bulkhead. Whipple and the other top engine models won't fit due to the engine hatch being to low. I woud have to have some obnoixous 2 ft high engine hatch scoop.

I'll trade ya the 22 for the 16 for a week! I want to move to an 18 eventually because I can get a Procharger in that bay. Oh well, I did get my 16 from 47 mph when it was delivered to around 56-57. I can't tell you how pissed I was when I first ran it. Advertised as a 60 mph boat when I bought it, and at sea level is probably was, but here I was putting around the lake at 47. Just shows you how alitude will kill you. Wonder if altitude makes hangovers worse!

Still don't have it propped out yet. Tried a bunch from Poodle and Grizz last year, but ran out of season. Going to try the 19 pitch today. Weather is sunny, but only 60 degrees. With the cool air, might see 58-59 today. Checked the valve lash yesterday (thanks Buiz for teaching me this). Everything was in spec, but tightened a few valves.

Get out there today Carl. You tell me how your day went tonight and I'll tell you how mine went. Got my money printed yet?:smash:

Think of the boat you could've bought for the price of that bus....Today was cold and rainy but I had to work anyway and yucky week-end days are good for business. I'm pooped, gotta feed the mutts and myself, watch a flick and off to bed. I'm hoping for a nice day this week for a good boat run. No printing money BTW:eek!:! In all these years I've had one phony $20 bill and I caught it right away. I tore it up and threw it back in his face and said "what's this s...?"! Then he was escorted out the door. It's hard to prosecute because they just pretend that they didn't know unless they're stupid enough to have more phonies in their pocket which isn't likely.

Didn't get out today either. Sun really never came out an it was windy. So, his counterfit wasn't as good as your stash under the bow of the 22?

Ironic how we were just talking about printing money and someone tries to slip you a phony one. Good catch! I agree, trying to prosecute for a fake $20.00 probably isn't worth it. A couple of fake 100's, maybe.

Might have to go to Phoenix this week, if not, the weather is supposed to be nice. Might get out Tuesday or Wed.

The fake 20 was about 6 months ago. It's actually pretty easy to tell fakes if you just look at the detail and some of the security features. There are a lot of business people here and I don't think any crooks so I'll let you in on a secret. Newsprint fools counterfeit detection pens. A smart counterfeiter would print on newsprint on pass fakes all day long at stores that rely on the pens and don't even look at the money. Don't let that happen to you. Just look at the bills. The fine lines will not photocopy and no one uses printing plates anymore. Tip of the day, but don't tell kids. I know this because I'm a retailer, not because I print money (that's my SS disclaimer!:eek!:)
