Had this spare eng at the office...:eek!:This HP will undoubtedly be Very Faaaaaaaaast to drive:drive::eek::thumbsup: Beefing up the stringers as we speak...:smash::cool:

Technical data

The AE3007 turbofan engine is a high bypass (5:1), two spool, axial-flow engine, flat rated at 7,580 pounds of thrust, uninstalled, sea level static to 113°F ambient temperature.

The design features include:

wide-chord single-stage direct-drive fan
14-stage axial-flow compressor with inlet guide vanes (IGVs) and five variable-geometry-stator stages
full annular type combustion liner with 16 fuel nozzles and two high tension igniters
two-stage HP turbine driving the HP compressor
three-stage LP turbine to drive the fan
dual aircraft mounted, fully-redundant FADECs
accessory-drive gearbox for engine-driven accessories and air system for aircraft pressurisation, engine starting, and cross bleed starts

The Citation X can cross half a dozen time zones without a refueling stop. It combines cruising speeds of Mach .92 with true intercontinental and transatlantic range. The Citation X is no conventional aircraft. No other business aircraft in the world flies so far, so fast, on so little.

It's a good thing it will be too fast for anyone to get close to the jet blast:eek!:. If the water cops come up just turn on the afterburner.....Toasty Coasties:smash:. Oh, sorry, you work for them don't you?

Kidding aside, I can see more jet turbines in boating's future.

Have you checked out the "QSST" (Quiet Supersonic Transport). A civilian jet that can go mach 1.6. Not produced yet but looks like it will be. Google QSST for pics and info.
