1. Saturday May 10, 2008.
2. Tow or boat to Goodby's Creek Boat Ramp
Be there around 10:00 AM
3. We will boat as a group either north or south on the St. Johns as per the wishes of the majority of those who actually show up, and eat lunch at the restaurant of our choice.
4. Boat back to Goodby's Creek and have a late afternoon cool one at Hooters. If the tide is agreeable, we can fill the finger piers there with Donzi's.
5. Recover boats and go home.

The Crit' is still living in NJ (not for long tho ), so if I can hitch a ride somewhere, I'm a pretty good tank filler. I'd love to get out on the water for a day.

Mark left me a message last night giving me a HU. Count me IN.

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. Call my cell. I will be home this afternoon, but the lawn mower may be louder than the cell.

Weather was as forecast - perfect for Donzi boating. Ran (with crewman McGary911) from Goodby's Creek all the way down (up if you are persnickity about which way the river flows as opposed to compass headings and "upsate"/"downstate" stuff) to Palatka, to Gator Landing for an awesome lunch on the sundecks overlooking the river. Joined there by a 42 Fountain Lightning and bikini crew from the Florida Power Boat Club. Two girls at another table attempted to pick us up there, but we resisted (yeah, right), and our waitress begged us to kidnap her for the rest of the day.

ChromeGorilla and his mate met us totally by coincedence at the same Publix at the same time in prepping the coolers for the day. Chromey brought a buddy and his family who own a dyno-mite Sunsation 32. But the two younger mates of the Sunsation family began having serious stomach issues before they could leave the parking lot at Publix. So McGary911 and I were forced to make it a solo run. No problem, but we would have enjoyed the company. Maybe next month.
