Is that a Mag MPI? I have a 22 pitch Bravo I that came off mine. I am doing some surgery on the boat and won't need it anymore. I don't have a ton of seat time with that prop but it would inch up to around 60 in the right water conditions. It handled nicely.

I had a 454 mag in mine. The guy I bought the from claimed to get a little more than that. I don't not believe him. I did not try too hard as I was babying the engine as I had not yet had my mechanic go through it. It was to go in a boat that I was getting ready to sell. I pulled it and the engine was deemed good but I put it in my other boat before trying to see what it would really do.

No it's just the base 7.4- 330hp- 310hp @ prop. I just think the prop that I've got doesn't hook up like it should. But I don't have a clue what to replace with.

What RPM are you turning?

I do have a 22" Bravo for sale.

The 22 Bravo 1 is the smallest B1 you will be able to get.. I dont think you will be able to spin much more than that with your current power.. The 4 blades do run better than the 3 as a rule on that hull with a single engine.. If you get into big power at some point on it, a 5 blade you may like even better.. I am now running a 5 blade on mine with big power, but before I upped the power I ran a bravo 1 prop & liked it.. :)

So I would say Bill's (hedge hog) prop sounds like it would be the thing for you.. :)

Thanks for the suggestion- is the 22 to tall for my power?

4700- It's been since last summer since I've been out so that what stuck in my head. I like the Bravo but I wonder if it's to tall. Most of the guys I boat with that have similar size and power are running Mirage Plus. I guess I need to borrow one of their props and try it...

the rev limiter on the 310 is 4700... at least mine was

it's a soft touch limiter of sorts, don't let that fool you

that motor is real happy wheeled to about 4600-4650

The hull does not really like a M plus. It will blow out a good bit on turns and coming out of the hull

You can actually get a little more speed out of a Mirage Plus, but you need an engine strong enough to spin it to the 70+ Mph range and then it gets pretty loose.

The guy I bought my boat from did some pretty exhaustive research trying to extract a little more speed from the 454 setup. He ended up with that 22" Bravo I

I have only had half a season of seat time in my 26(502 mag) but it seems to me that the my bravo (24) could use more bow lift. Does anyone know of a bravo style prop that would produce more bow lift? If there is such a prop I think it would be the ticket.

It should not need it but if you want a little extra you can always have Throttle-Up props add a little cup to your existing prop.

You may want to try a small maximus or a large hydromotive.. ;) Jamie / Lakeside

-MAN Whatta difference- Hole shot is significantly better even when loaded with 5 adults. Added 4 mph GPS kissed 60 with 2 bodies, light on fuel and rough water. Can cruise @ 50 running 3900-4000 rpm. Now if I could just get the motor to run on something other than gas I'd be set for the summer.

I am glad it worked. I figured that it was just the ticket:wink:

Right at 60 is right where you should be.
