I Painted both the 38 scarrabs when I worked for Trick Paint in Miami. The 13 color fade, 9 sprayguns.

I sat next to Don Johnson at the Bar on the water inside Houlover cut in Miami, Watched him leave a $5.00 (five Dollars) tip on a $200.00 bar tab, then Get in the boat and almost Hit the Marker Bouy when getting on Plane when He was leaving..(You could get on plane in Florida back then)

At the beggining of the show it shows a buch of boats that look like they are racing. the one in last place was a Red Coyote called "Red Ryder" the guy brought it to our shop and wanted to know why it was so slow. It had trs drives low enough the trim rams went through the water. I think someone measured the X from the top or somthing...

With that said, I'm guessing it's in a boat race or in the background in some scene?

http://www.tv.com/miami-vice/the-fix/episode/124907/summary.html

I watched the dvds from season 1 and 2 a couple years ago. I seem to remember this episode as the judge (Bill Russel) on a big cabin cruiser and then one or two small boats coming up to the side of the cabin cruiser. Distinctly remembering one of the small boats as a Donzi. Model????? Looked like a classic 22 or 18 but I don't recognize the old models either very well so it could have been other than a classic. This whole Donzi seen is pretty short, maybe 15 seconds or so. I do remember screwing around with the remote control for the dvd trying to figure out how to do frame by frame slow motion. Finally got it and said, damn they finally put a Donzi in the Miami Vice show!

DVD were from netflix so I can't look it up for you guys. Again, just going off of memory at the moment which is going in the tank quickly!
