Hey guys, need a little help here. Among Uncle Tom, Mike and myself we're trying to come up with the right shade of red for the triple hatch. We're looking for the deep red that was used on the 66, 67, and 68 model boats. For reference, we're using a photo of "The Red Mistress." Penbroke, any help?
Thanks,
David

I have the original color chart that came with my '66 18. It says colors and fiberglass by FERRO. On my chart there are two reds listed. As stated by Sweet little 16 there is a Lord Lucan red. The number on that is VF1828. There is also a darker red called Kandy Apple Red. The number FERRO lists for that is VF 1830. There was some talk about this a while back and I think someone from the site found them. Hope this helps.

Gel Huh, New Unveiling date, Summer 2010... Since the core is missing from the whole under deck It may be quicker to buy a new red cored deck.. I think Gel-ing the cokpit floor and sides is an endevor I don't want to take. Paint will last plenty long..

Minicraft also offers Fan-Tex color chart colors. This gives you a lot more choices. Maybe you can match a chip.

Additionally, they will match any color of gel from an existing part for $75.00.....at least that's what I paid.
