$100 bucks gets me just over 1/2 tank on my work truck (04 F150). Just glad I don't have to pay the bill.

Diesel here is hovering JUST under $4. I paid 399.9 yesterday....absolute madness. Looks like the new E-Tecs won't get as many hours on they as I thought they would this year. Don't worry, I'm gonna run 'em, but a $1,000 Saturday fishing trip is NOT somehting I can afford to do Every weekend.

Of course it is bitter sweet since I make my living in the Oil Business...I get paid to upgrade the Refinery...then pay at teh pump for that upgrade....I now know what it is like to be a government employee...paid with tax dollars that are then taxed as income:boggled::boggled:

I actually bought $10.00 worth of this yesterday........:garfield:
I had filled up in Carson City the day before and was going south on US 395 along the eastern edge of the Sierra Nevadas and was going across Death Valley from west to east. Just to make sure I got to Pahrump (where gas prices are somewhat reasonable again) I made this purchase as insurance. Ya don't want to run out in the desert.
The only other place gas was available in the park was at Stove Pipe Wells where it was $5.25/gallon.

There's a lot of that along the edges of the Sierra. I know one place along 50 between Sacarmento and Tahoe that's always about $.50 more than anything else just because they are the only guys for about 20 miles in either direction.

Funny thing - when I was running the BMW at Sears point the gas at track was cheaper than gas in the little towns outside the track! Well, as long as you stayed away from the 112 octane stuff anyway.
