Does anyone know who to contact about getting new seat brackets for a 97 18c? Springfield is the manufacturer. Checked their site and none of them look quit right.
Thanks
Dan

Had to look this up, these have been touted to be a much better setup. Quite a few up here have switched to these.

I'm thinking he has the cast risers, not aluminum pedestals. Try this link http://springfieldgrp.com/products.php-subcat1=Other%20Slides-Swivels&varmaincat=.htm

Thanks for the info - The springfield Trac-Lock looks the most like it. I am not thrilled with the durability though. I don't know whether they are original or not - they are cast aluminum and both were broken. If they are original guess 11 years of use isn't so bad.
Thanks again

are a more durable unit to retro your Springfields with. Quality and construction is night and day in comparison.

At 235 pounds, I had a Springfield literally explode under me at 70mph. My Garelicks don't wobble or show any wear after five seasons.

There are several 18 guys that have found the right Garelick set-ups to replace their Springfields.

Do a look-see on the "Search" function here.

Good luck.

The original Springfield cast sliders were/are a POS. Only replace with extruded aluminum type, regardless of manufacturer.

I see at west marine they have some fairly low profile Garelick brackets with 1 inch of suspension. Anyone have any experience with these? They might hold up better.
Thanks
