Before I start digging into removing the rear hatch I figured I would ask if there's any secret handshake to getting the rear hatch off the boat.

The pins look to both slide in the same direction but in some preliminary testing the cover doesn't budge when I tilt it up and try to slide the pins out.

The starboard pin looks to have a hole in it but I can't see if there's a screw anchoring it.

I just wanted to see what my easiest way is before I start upscrewing the hinge from the hatch. I hate finding out after I did it one way that there's a much easier way to do it.

FYI, 1987 22 Classic (2+3)

Nothing magic. There is a screw hole to anchor the assembly, but it sounds like the screw is missing.
Move the hatch up and down 30*-50* while exerting some side pressure. It should come off.

That's what it looked like. Thanks.
