Hmmm.....where to begin. In the last 3 weeks I have gotten a lot done. Here is where I am-
Rear axle rebuilt and on frame
Front axle rebuilt and on frame
Gas tank in
shocks on
transfer case rebuilt and in
tranny rebuilt and in
Front driveshaft rebuilt and in
Front suspension in
rear suspension in
I have a new Hurst shifter for tranny and twin stick for transfer case. Went with a disk brake conversion up front and total drum rebuild in the rear.
Nothing has gone on without a fight. This is a 40 year old vehicle and has been trying at best. Hardest has been the front suspension and driveshafts. Driveshafts were/are a nightmare, but the front suspension took more time. All parts are new and what could be painted has been done in POR-15.
I am really worried about the body and am starting to look around for a donar body. It is just too messed up. I really have nothing to work with. Oh well. Hopefully another month or two and I will be done with "Donkey Kick".
