Got the preliminary plans for the shop. The house is done and now we are working on the guest cabin and shop. Below is the initial plans, they are not done but I am excited. Downstairs will be 2 10ft doors and a small atv/lawn mower door. Upstairs will be a bunk house with 6 bunk beds and a queen. The end has a deck upstair with stairs for access. Let me know what you think.

That looks great.

What's the ceiling height in the garage area? If you are ever considering a storage lift I suggest 12'. 10' at a bare minimum and use jackshaft openers on the doors along with extended tracts so you don't have interference overhead.

John's better half here. Hopefully all will turn out great for our house. If anyone has any suggestions, let us know.

Hmmm......didn't know Boo Boo was still looking at Donzi.net. Hi honey.

The doors will slide on tracks up and in inline with the roof if that makes sense. Of course in Wyoming, they will have to be thick and insulated.

With an exhaust vent in at least one of them so you can run something in the garage and vent it to the outside.....

For lighting, DO NOT BUY Commercial grade florescent tube transformers. They hum and will drive you crazy. Use the domestic stuff. If you can't tell, install one and see if it is quiet. My contractor "upgraded" me to Commercial ballasts and now I have to take them all out as they drive me up a wall with the buzzing. I would rather have ones that are quiet, even if they wouldn't start right up in the cold.

They make a cold start 8 foot fixture, I have 3 of them in my garage for a total of 6 tubes, even on the -30 days they come bright.
