hull color..or not

I'm sure this topic has been discussed, but I searched the board and could not find any threads. So...I'm wondering if any of you have an opinion you'd like to share on the pro/cons of colored hull sides versus the white with pinstripes. Curious to see the general consensus realizing this is all personal preference, etc....

Hull sides painted look nice.....However if it is done in a dark color and you trailer the boat it will show all kind of peppering in the paint, ie. little bits of white will show throught from road bebris being kicked up from the tow vehicle.....it happens to all towed boats but just shows up more on the dark colored sides more. Don't ask me how I know this.....again all personal preference.

Once you decide that colored sides is the way to go, you have decide on your favorite color.

Mine is not the factory red. It is more like blood red. I love it. I can't believe this but I can't get enough of the yellow. Not the anniversary yellow. The regular yellow is amazingly attractive.

It's not so black and white for me...

22: colored sides
18: either way
16: white sides

Minx: they didn't really make white sides that I know of (except cuda's old boat, but that also had a blue bottom). I think the Minx will look sharp with white sides and bottom and I'll probably be the first to find out :wink:

The first Donzi I saw when I was a kid in the 60's had colored hull sides.
