This is a very sweet and unusual boat. It's a windshield model which is quite rare. See the 2003 Donzi brochure for a picture of its twin. In addition, as near as I can determine, she is equipped with every option that Donzi offered on the 16C. It has a couple of tasteful aftermarket mods and is a true (GPS-verified) 60 mph boat.

Boat

2003 Classic 16 (also known by some as a Sweet Sixteen)
3rd Donzi built for 2003
2+2 seating
white seats w/red piping
red snap-in marine carpet
red hull sides
white powercoated windshield
5.0 Mercrusier MPFI 260 hp
Alpha drive (replaced in August '07 with a SEI unit w/3 year warranty)
Stainless Turbo I prop (21P, 3 blade)
Captains Call (switchable) exhaust
trim tabs and Bennett trim indicators on dash
Sony Am/Fm/CD player w/ 2 speakers
dual batteries (I am currently running only 1 to save weight)
auto fire extinguishing system
came with depth sounder, but the sounder mechanism is MIA

Aftermarket options

GLM aluminum exhaust manifolds and risers. These removed more than 100# of weight from the stern.
Corsa slash tips. Loud and mean!
Eddie Marine drive shower
Stainless steel Skeg-guard
Pair of "Wind-a-Way" wind deflectors

Trailer -

Single axle Loadrite aluminum and galvanized trailer with aluminum rims, tongue jack and loading guides. Tires are like new.

Here are the heads up items -

one chip in the gel directly below the port-side rub rail (smaller than a pea)
sounder for depth guage is long gone
a little "nibbling" on the plastic backing of the rub rail (about 12" long) and visible only up close
co ckpit cover is somewhere on the side of I-95 outside of Washington DC
slight hazing/scoring in side plexi on starboard side
I can't get the rear, pole-mounted white running light to work

This is an excellent starter Donzi. It spends winters in a heated garage. Its overall condition is excellent. I have all the manuals and installation papers for the options and accessories. She has approximately 275 hours. I'm a fanatic about changing the oil and run Mobil One filters and Mobil V-Twin 20-50 synthetic oil.

Here's a boat that will turn heads on the road, at the gas station, the ramp and on the water. She attracts attention wherever she goes. You can have a weekend's worth of WOT fun for $100 of fuel. She will make you giggle like a school girl.

Price: SOLD

It's a beauty, I saw it on the trailer. A lot of folks in Michigan will confirm that this is a Sweet 16! So, Randy, what are you leaning toward replacing it with?:alligator

I've got to admit, I like the look of the 16 with the windshield. Good luck with the sale Randy.:crossfing:

I've been at the helm of this boat, and it is exactly as the owner states.
All options, anally maintained, in excellent condition, and a real strong runner.

Maybe with all that money Toyota just gave him, Randy will be more likely to wheel and deal!

I am really surprised it hasn't moved yet. There are hardly any on the market. None on Ebay, few on any other site. Wierd. Usually 16 are everywhere.

I'll ask her if she's available! Only one stipulation, she doesn't go with the boat when you sell it.

Holy cow...is Aaron about 17 years old, or what?

Regardless, welcome to Donzi ownership and to the board. Having spent a few hours in your boat I can personally attest to the major fun factor available to you with your purchase.

Congratulations, Aaron and Randy!

great guys!

I am old enough to enjoy alcohol in this great country of ours!

With 85 degree weather tomorrow I hope to get some great photos of the young women that will enjoy the new boat. Hopefully everyone will be able to appreciate the pictures too...

I am looking forward to the 1000 Islands run in August this year...

Well at least Randy's boat could make it.

Aaron we just want to remind you to bring a passport.

Look forward to meeting you.

Passport ready.

The boat is now located just outside of Greensboro, NC.

Have an Uncle that has a house on Black Lake in NY so hoping to run on that lake this summer some before or after the 1000 islands meet and then Charleston Lake in September possibly.

Aaron, I just picked up a 16 last Dec. and am located at Lake Kerr. About 2 hrs from you. If you ever think of coming up my way give me a shout and we'll take the 2 out! Both white with red stripe! Peeps will be seeing double!
