welp, not really a classic...... yet

I need help looking for some parts for a 1984-1990 C model, specifically a 1989 C8000 Ford truck

this model is the cabover flat front like you see on firetrucks, fuel trucks, asphalt spreaders, city tractors,

NOT the CL or CF Cargo series

need website search help for some obsolete parts

firetruck resto's ?? salvage yards ??

reward paid for NICE chrome grille, and chrome front bumper, and chrome mirrors and chrome Hadley's

if you thought Carter lost it.... well......

Jim,
I"ll keep my eye's open for you up this way.
I use to wrench on quite a few of them. I see it is the 8000-diesel model. Cat 3208 ? Had to R&R a few of them from Cyl. walls leaking coolant into oil pan.:eek!: There cure back then was some additive. :bonk:The shift linkages on the standard model's was a lot of fun also.
I think the chrome stuff is probably going to have come from the Fire Trucks. Might end up inthe long run plating what ya have.
What's a Hadley ?

Kenny.

needs to be lowered about 6" to 7" with a 2" rake...
dark tinted windows...
22.5 Alcoa's with a single fat 385/60/22.5 rear tire...
3208 turbo...
5.38 gears...
MT643 Allison...
polished treadplate rear deck, tire arches, and side fairings...
yes, the mileage is correct...

WOW, when you go a "new direction" you're NOT kidding !!!

That is waaaayyy cool. We have a couple FORD ('54 I think) short school buses here that are dumped and filled windows and they are georgeous.

So, is the Bench going to sit ON the rear deck or behind it on a trailer.

What's a Hadley ? air horns.... think train horn... if you've seen the slammed and full fairing Euro race Scania's, Daf's, Iveco's, and Volvo's, you'll get a good idea of what i'm thinkin' I just happen to have a 425hp marine injection pump and injectors and a 435hp turbo in stock. Gotta find a used Freightliner COE intercooler...

Lenny.... Classic Cruzer

will know more tomorrow...
