I have a Shelby 22 and I want to change the factory exhaust manifolds on the 496HO. I have located two companies that manufacture aluminium manifolds with stainless risers. Stainless Marine in Miami and Dana Marine Products in California. Does anybody have any experience with these products. I would like to get the ones that give the best result for the money.

Check out Eddie Marine (http://www.eddiemarine.com/store/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=13693&c=63), (they come in multiple colors)

and the standard bearer, CMI (http://www.custommarine.com/headerapps/496SportTubePerformancePackage.php).

I personally think the Eddie Marine exhaust, Hard Coat anodized then powdercoated is the best bang for the buck. It's less than half the price of the CMI and I think it's the only one that's hard coat anodized on the inside to help prevent corrosion.

Are your manifolds shot? If you are just looking for performance spend a little time researching, I have seen at least two threads one touting dyno testing showing zip for improvement over stock. The stock Mercs seem to do very well!

I installed Dana Marine exhaust on my 05 22 classic 496HO last year, went up a pitch on the prop, gained 2 mph and a lot more midrange, they have good bling for the money, I purchased mine from Jaime @ Lakeside.. IMO you will get added bling, and some peformance gain, if you are looking for more performance than what is stated above, then go MERC 525, Raylar, Whipple etc...if you have any more questions feel free to PM me...Good Luck:propeller:
