It's 46 at St. SImons Is. Georgia. Ijust went down to the marina and puttered around our 40' Hatteras. The wind is blowing about 18-20. It's too cold to have any fun on the water. Sun is out. Pretty day otherwise.

52 and sunny here in the delta today at 1:30 PST. Should be in the mid 30's overnight. Cold enough I don't want to ride to work at 6:00AM.

I think I'll go out and wash a couple of the bikes and the car before it gets colder and starts to rain again later this week.

At 3am this morning it was -18°F. Ya that's negative 18 below zero. It's finally above zero now at 4pm. MN and WI is God's country alright, as in God danget, go out and warm up the truck for 15 minutes before you drive anywere. Kinda like running the air conditoner for 15 minutes in the summer. :smash:

On the way to work the local SF news radio was talking to people about the 'cold' weather and how many layers they had on.

It was cold! Must have been down under 40 bayside! Everybody thought the world was ending! One lady said she needed 4 layers + gloves. Gee - I just came from the boatyard with my Carver and I'm still wearing the same stuff I always wear. Must be warmer on this side of the bay :wink:

On the other side of the coin, I passed a guy on on old Katana on the way to work this morning. 39* and raining when I saw him. That's pretty hard-core. At least he had his 'stich on.

It was cold for Florida earlier this week, but it warmed up to about 80 yesterday, and it was 65 when I got up this morning. It's probably about 70 now, but very dreary. It rained off and on last night.

I can't imagine those temps! The coldest I have ever been in was 10*.

I don't have clothes for that.

Gulf Breeze is in the panhandle of Florida, a suburb of Pensacola. We refer to our area as "LA". (lower Alabama). We get colder than most of the state, but not that cold.

Another front is headed our way, predicting 30's Friday night, 70's Sunday. Roller coaster.


If you only have 1 pair of long underwear, is it alright to turn them inside out to wear a second day?:shocking:

-31 this morning. I can not tell you how cold this is. Only half of my fleet started this morning. My hand, which I cut this fall, hurts so bad in this crap. The nerves are just fried.

Barry, my wife is from Mobile and we got married in Sea Side. Love your neck of the woods and wish I was there right now. Going to visit in June, maybe we can get together for a drink.

I used to go to Grayton Beach. That was one of the last places you could drive on the beach in this area.(Dune Buggys and 4X4's). For those that don't know, our beach sand is not like the sand at Daytona Beach. Can you say "STUCK".

Sea Side is where the movie Truman Show was filmed. Very quaint.

About 50 miles. Jimmy Buffett's sister has a waterfront place in Gulf Shores. Lulus. It is about a one hour cruise unless you go run the intercostal. Idle speed only.
