Well I went to Jacksonville to look at a few Donzi's today and WoW did we have a good day. I am taking to this guy that has a Barrel Back for sale and ask him if he has ever heard of a Donzi Baby 14? He says, yes his Dad has one. Yea right! So sure enough, good ole Dad has one I have never seen or heard of. It is yellow with brown trim. It looked in great condition to me, but what do I know? I love all old Donzi's, especially rare ones. He did what I would have done if I had plenty of $. He had the 120 original motor put up and the original #1 merc drive redone and a fresh 140 hp merc motor installed. The owner said it was like adding a supercharger to it. He has had the boat since early 80's so fresh, may be a relative term. Has what looks like it could be an original windshield although the Baby we used to have had a lower and more racey italian looking shield. It is a good day, when you get to see a '66 triple hatch Barrel Back with original H/M motor, a 1967 original Barrel Back with a 300 hp V-Dive, and a 1967 Baby in what looked like near mint original condition. Anyway this gentleman told me he was considering selling his prize Donzi. Thinking of retiring. It would include both motors and looked ready to go. He is very firm on his price and it is not cheap but there may be someone out there that wants an extremely rare Donzi that I have never seen in this color or condition. He is firm at $20,000 and I know that will get your attention, but it is less than another one I know of at 100 grand. That is 2 of the total 13 ever made & I know of at least 1 more that will not be for sale for a long long time if ever. The # for info and to talk directly to the owner is 904-731-0060, just ask to speak to the owner about the Donzi 14 footer. I am not the one selling this one, but I thought there would be some interested parties out there. It was wonderful to see it and I LIKE it!
Please email me with any other Baby 14's you know of. I am trying to do a spreadsheet on them. Enjoy, Tom email us at mishunaire@aol.com

I do agree. It looks nice. I like the idea of the upgraded engine package with keeping the orig. engine up for later too. I also remember from when we had ours that you put gas into it on wednesday and 2 weeks later you still got gas in the tank. Just the gas consumption would help pay for it. ha ha Tom

-------There was a red 14 Baby for sale in Algonac last summer. Not sure but I think he still has it. Its restored and nice but some stuff, as with this yellow 14, are not quite original. The guy has the boat listed here on the registry but I dont think he comes on here at all...........Bill S

-------Tom,,,Definetly a 14. He hadnt made his mind up on the price and thats why I didnt mention it on the board. Knowing him a bit, the price wont be low, but more likely on the high side of fair. I will try to find out if he still has it. He flagged me down in the middle channel up here by Harsens Island in a really nice 27 Magnum Sport last summer that he had just bought and said he just didnt have time for the 14..........Bill S

Mama Mia, Geezalouisa, that is beyond BEAUTIFUL!!!! Like some others on the registry, my favorite Donzi of all time is a certain twin engine blue and white GT. Well now I must change all pics and everything on my computer, because this Baby is unbelieveable looking. What is the drive train in the little beast? Thanks ever so much for the pics Scott, you have made my year! WOW! Somebody get me this guys phone #! Tom
