June 6-8 is the next Hotboat "Beast of the East" meet where jet and V-drive hotboats meet up at the point for a huge get together. Lots of smaller offshore type boats too, although I was the only Donzi classic last summer. Some of the guys from the Hampton Roads Powerboat Assoc. were there, including a 38 foot Formula.
Lake Anna is a huge 10,000 acre fresh water lake 90 mins south of Washington D.C.
Here's a home made video from youtube of some of the drag racing from last summer. The jet powered boat has the engine out of a Bell helicopter.

Typically we rent condos at one of the many marinas, launch in the morning, drive around the lake, then hit the point to watch the action, get in on the huge BBQ lunch, mingle and take photos, get a sunburn, then head back to the condo from some lake side drunk festing on the deck.
